Queer Healing
Tender, Radical Care for the LGBTQIA+ Soul
Healing Is Political. Healing Is Queer.
At Velvet & Vine, queer healing is not a service. It’s a relationship—ongoing, nonlinear, and sacred. We know that healing in a queer body means living in a world that wasn’t always made with us in mind.
So we make another one.
This is a space for reclamation. For joy. For grief. For the softness you never thought you were allowed. Here, your queer experience is not just accepted—it’s centered. Honored. Celebrated.

What We Mean by Queer Healing
We use the phrase queer healing to describe a deep, integrative process that attends to:
- The body: unwinding trauma stored in the nervous system
- The heart: tending to wounds from family, faith, or identity rejection
- The psyche: reclaiming joy, pleasure, and possibility
- The spirit: reconnecting to ritual, ancestors, and meaning-making
This work is especially supportive if you are:
- Navigating gender identity, dysphoria, or transition
- Healing from religious or cultural trauma
- Exploring queerness later in life
- Holding grief around family rupture or community harm
- Seeking an affirming space to rest, be witnessed, and re-root
How We Offer Queer Healing

Somatic & Embodiment Practices
- Gentle movement, grounding, and guided reconnection to the body
- Learn to feel safe in your skin again
- Honor both the pleasure and the pain stored within
Ritual & Spiritual Care
- Grief ceremonies, gender-affirming rites, and queer ancestral work
- New moon rest circles and full moon intention setting
- Name-change rituals and trans milestone ceremonies
Our Healing Philosophy
We are not here to fix you.
We are here to walk beside you.
We believe that:
- Queerness is not a problem to be solved—it’s a power to be nurtured
- Your experience is valid, even if you don’t have the words yet
- Slowness is sacred
- Community care is a form of liberation

Our healing is anti-pathology, anti-racist, trans-affirming, and body-honoring.
